If the clubface is square a longer time in the impact zone, the chances of hitting the golf ball straight increase. If you get too wristy and open or close the clubface early or late, the golf ball will go the direction the clubface is pointing.

At the top of the backswing, you should try to swing the golf club over your right shoulder and then at the end of your downswing and follow through, swing the club back over your left shoulder. The golf club should swing on the same path on your backswing and downswing.

There are certain keys that make up a consistent and repeatable golf swing. Learn how to integrate these keys into your swing and you'll play much better and be more consistent on the course.

If your grip is too strong but your body is a little open at impact, these two things can offset each other and you'll find there are times you can hit great golf shots. If you pick the club up too much in your backswing, you'll have to drop it in on the downswing the exact same amount and this requires perfect timing.

This will lead to more consistency and of course lower golf scores as well. If the clubface is square a longer time in the impact zone, the chances of hitting the golf ball straight increase.

It is possible to compete against another golfer and win by using fewer strokes to complete the round. Otherwise, you may wish to measure your ability against a designated standard of excellence called par. Par is the number of strokes judged to be necessary for a very good golfer to complete a hole. lt is assumed that a golfer requires two putts once the ball has landed on the green. If you add to the putts (two) the number of shots it should take to reach the green, you can determine par.
