My Little Pilgrimage
One of my favorite sayings to my students is that
“History is remarkably alike, yet people just seem to fail to learn from their past mistakes.”
Well especially in the exam season when they are begging me for cues of finals.
Nevertheless the same applies here for me.
My head is spinning in the clouds these days
asking myself what do I see myself in five years from now?
Life is so much easier when I’m mission-oriented.
It’s not difficult to simply set a goal for yourself
but rather figuring out what u truly want out of life.
And this time I’m making my own decision,
not living up to expectations, not because of what’s best in my interest,
and not compromising for anyone else.
The process is brain-consuming.
Then I compile a list of things that I know I don’t want,
I don’t want to be domesticated, not getting the value I deserve,
and trapped in a life for the benefits of others.
My deepest fear that one day it will grind all my edges
All of these are not meant to be easy, but I’m going to unravel it bit by bit.
And Kris, I know u will be a survivor.
